Framed & Frameless Cabinet Installation: What’s the Difference?

Face framed cabinetry has a 1.5-2″ border that hides the edge of the cabinet box. Doors can be front-mounted or attached to the inside of the frame, with either full or partial overlay.
Frameless cabinetry has no face frame. Instead, the cabinet doors attach directly to the sides of the cabinet box. Doors are almost always full overlay, creating a smooth and seamless profile. The absence of a frame can actually increase your available storage space inside the cabinets.
